The Perfect Season PDF Print E-mail
The Beginning with Children Charter School’s Lady Jaguars followed up an undefeated regular season with the highest accomplishment; a victory in the championship game against Achievement First Crown Heights 19-17. The Lady Jags played one of their toughest games of the year against a formidable opponent who had the home court advantage. The Lady Jags were driven by a tremendous sense of team unity. The team was led in scoring 8th graders Amanda Miner, Emily Perez and Evelyn Chaplin. The combination of the full court press and zone defenses stifled the potent AFCH offense. Supporting the girls at the title game was a large turnout of family, friends, teachers, principals and for the first time cheerleaders! "I would like to thank all of the girls and parents for their commitment this season," says Coach Jessenia Roman. Ms. Roman the entire school community would like to thank you! Congratulations!!

Coach Roman and the senior players hoist the championship trophy.
